I think my favorite scary movie of all time is the original Night of the Living Dead. I don’t remember when I saw it the first time but I do remember that it was at a drive-in movie. I had nightmares about that movie for a long time. I suppose Night of the Living Dead is pretty tame compared to Halloween the movie.
I don’t like scary movies as much as I did when I was younger. Maybe this is because when I was younger I thought everything in life was a fantasy, just like in the movies. Family massacres? Big deal. It is only a movie – not real life. Somewhere along the line as I got older my thinking has changed. Family massacres and blood and gore are things that can happen in real life. Now when I watch these types of movies it takes a long long time to get the images out of my head and I tend to dwell on the fact that these things do happen in real life.
I have been known to cover my face during the scariest parts of some movies. After looking at this movie trailer for Halloween the movie I’m thinking I’d probably be covering my face during the entire movie! If the trailer for the movie scares the living heck out of me – I can only imagine how the movie itself will terrify me. The latest Halloween movie was written and directed by Rob Zombie and will be released August 31st. If you want to have the living daylights scared out of you mark your calendars. This one looks like it is going to be a winner.
I was tagged by Tina over at the Creative Nerd for the Middle Name Meme so here goes:
1. You have to post these rules before you give the facts.
2. Players, you must list one fact that is somehow relevant to your life for each letter of their middle name. If you don’t have a middle name, use the middle name you would have liked to have had.
3. When you are tagged you need to write your own blog-post containing your own middle name game facts.
4. At the end of your blog-post, you need to choose one person for each letter of your middle name to tag. Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them they’re tagged, and to read your blog.
Okay, I’m not up for telling my middle name on the internet (or any other name either for that matter, heh) so I’ll use the middle name I would have liked to have had. Let’s see, I’ll say Sarah.
S – Should have known better. *grin*
A – Arrogant at times. (haha)
R – Raised in Florida.
A – Alone a lot. I prefer it that way.
H – Honest to a fault most of the time.
I probably didn’t do this right so if I tagged you it might be a good idea to check the Creative Nerd to see how it is done.
Okay, I guess I have to tag 5 people.

Last week I wrote about the cool way you can get personalized news delivered directly to your browser. I have to tell you though, reading the news at Thoof is almost as bad as watching videos on YouTube. I just can’t stop, hehe. There is always another interesting story to read.
One thing I didn’t go into detail with is the ThoofRank badge. The ThoofRank badge and the number shown on it is a measure of how interesting your submitted story is to readers that have interests in common with it. For example, at the time of this writing the story I submitted on July 26th has a ranking of 48%. That means that my story is 48% more popular than other related stories. That’s a little below average but not too bad for my first try.
In addition to personalized news I’m thinking that Thoof might be a good way to drive traffic to a blog or website. I suppose the only way to know that for sure is to conduct a little test. What I’m going to do is submit a few stories to Thoof and add the ThoofRank badge to them. Then I’ll keep an eye on my stats to see if I get any results from my little campaign. I’m always thinking! *grin*
