My telephone plus internet was out of service from Thursday until Sunday. Actually that wasn't such a bad thing - I got caught up on a lot of chores I have been neglecting.
My computer is fried. I'm using a loaner computer which limits the things I can do online. I haven't decided whether to try to have my computer repaired or whether to buy a new one. I'd like to do both. I could repair mine and put it at my mother-in-law's house to use while I'm there and also buy a new one for my house.
My mother-in-law went to the emergency room Saturday evening at 6:30pm. Hubby and I didn't get home until 4:30am Sunday. She really should NOT be living alone anymore. She vetoes any solution I come up with (fixing up her spare room for me and letting me sleep there at night) and I veto any solution she comes up with (I think she wants to come live with us). This situation is putting a lot of stress on our family life.
I probably won't be around as much as I have been in the past until our home life settles back down.

I say get a new ‘puter and fix old ‘puter.
As for the rest, just want you to know I’ll be thinking of you.
I am sorry to read about your computer getting fried. I would get the old one fixed if it doesn’t cost too much and if you can afford it, buy a new one too. I don’t know where you live if there is a direct outlet store where you can buy a new or refurbished computer with not a lot of money. I just got a new laptop and I am loving it big time!! My desktop just sits upstairs on but it hasn’t been used in over a month.
About the stressful family situation, I’ll keep you in my thoughts and prayers and hope things work out for you.
Kyra
I think I’ll end up doing that… I’ve been looking around at BestBuy.com and CircuitCity.com to check prices…
Thanks for your thoughts…
Kyra, what kind of laptop did you get? I’ve never seen a laptop I felt comfortable using… Do you use a trackball? (I prefer a mouse but I guess I could bet used to a trackball…)
Thanks for the thoughts and prayers… you know you are in mine too…
Actually I got 2 laptops, since it looks like me and him are going our separate ways. I got an Acer and a Compaq. Both of them have the finger mouse pad in them and I am very comfortable about using them. It took me a day or so to get used to it but now I am a whiz on it. LOL It’s hard for me to use a desktop now.
Sorry for the delay in replying…..
Glad things seem to be settling down in your neck of the woods.
Oh crap. I hate to hear that and I hope it doesn’t happen.
It is just a lull in the storm here tonight, tomorrow is another day. :p
Things are looking up once again!
Dang, life can throw some hell of a curves at ya!
