I used to run a HTML Help forum. I was pretty darn good at HTML and helping others learn web design. I did most of my coding by hand and really enjoyed it. After a while I took several years off from web design because I found another hobby. (MMORPG's FTW!)

Fast forward to today. Now in addition to HTML we have CSS and PHP and heaven knows what else and I am totally lost with some of it. If the world would have just been satisfied with HTML I'd still be sailing along smoothly now. I guess a little frustration is worth it for the reward so I'll just keep plugging along and goofing up until I can get it right.

I hear you! When I was just getting good at HTML, I had to install WordPress and I had to learn more stuff again! Now I’m starting to learn CSS (not even PHP yet) and still am no closer to being comfortable with it. How’s the edit-comments tweaking going?

HTML and PHP, I have those two down. But yeah, php was very confusing at first. (but, its worth it to learn)
Sadly, I haven’t gone into CSS yet, thats why the main index of my site (quadium32.com) isn’t the most visually appealing page :P

heh i hate PHP for the fact that i have to learn yet another language. i am slowly getting some aspects of it, but HTML and CSS are my buddies for life!

Hi. I just stopped by to check out your avatars. I’m glad you got them working! :)

Why would it? PHP is more flexible. You wouldn’t have your plugins with HTML would you :)

I took a break from the blogs today… hope to start fresh tomorrow…

    Thanks for stopping by… :)

It is very easy to change the appearance of your blog with WordPress… all you have to do is upload the theme you like and then switch it in your Presentation section…

I have a couple of other plugins I want to use but I’ll have to hack the comments file to set them up… and my comments file NEVER looks like the ones in the example…

It was only a mild personal rant. Nothing to take seriously. I’d have to agree with you there, hehe.
